Design Special, a Curious specimen for the Science Table and the School Holidays!

Just look at this wonderful hair clip that Sahara is sporting. Would you believe she designed and made it herself at home. We loved it so much we thought it deserved a blog spot.

So what was the curious specimen and where did it come from. It was an interesting spider that Polly found in the bath. She was so curious she brought it to school. Obviously we couldn't keep Mr Spider as he needed to be free so Polly and Angus; one of our seniors from Room 5, set him free and observed him in the school garden, behind the Allen Centre. Thanks Angus and well done Polly for being curious and interested in the world around you!

Did you know that most spiders have eight eyes and can only tell the difference between light and dark whilst certain spiders have well-developed vision.

What curious and interesting wonders will you see in the holidays. Take a photo for the blog if you find something you want to share when you come back to school or get an adult to send it to me in an email and I will pop it on the blog for you.

Have lovely holidays everyone - we have worked hard in Term 2 and we all need some time to relax and get ready for another busy ten weeks of learning in Term 3.

See you after the holidays!
